Western Environmental Equipment Co. (WEECI) performs flow studies for Municipalities, Developers, Engineers, and Industrial Dischargers. By measuring the flow of existing wastewater infrastructure, flow studies ensure that peak flows do not consistently exceed a pipe’s capacity. When flow studies reveal consistent peak flows, the existing pipes must be upgraded to a larger diameter.
Municipalities perform flow studies every five years to comply with the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and long-term planning. Developers and Engineers perform flow studies to ensure the existing infrastructure can safely sustain new developments. We often perform a flow study with a pH study for industrial dischargers to ensure our clients meet discharge permit standards.
WEECI is the only flow study provider in Arizona using the ISCO Laser, an innovative meter that sits above the flow to avoid ragging. We have the ability to install all meters using lined air. We do not use a blower to wait for acceptable H₂S levels before entering a confined space. With lined air, we can go anywhere to install equipment.
Our straightforward process removes any hassles for our clients: We provide the flow study, traffic control, and permitting. We often travel to the field and manually pull manhole covers to ensure we install our equipment in the best possible locations for the most accurate data.
